The High-Level Forum on South-South Cooperation on Climate Change

The High-Level Forum on South-South Cooperation on Climate Change (SSCCC) will be held at the UN Climate Change Conference COP 22, in Marrakesh, Morocco.

The event is hosted by the Government of China, the Government of Morocco, and the United Nations. It is organized by the United Nations Southern Climate Partnership Incubator (SCPI) Initiative, and supported by the International Ecosystem Management Partnership of UN Environment (UNEP-IEMP).

At the opening ceremony of the Forum, Mr Ibrahim Thiaw, Deputy Executive Director of UN Environment will formally announce UNEP-IEMP’s Flagship Programme on Climate, Ecosystems and Livelihoods (CEL).

The day-long event proceedings will include a mix of keynote and thematic sessions. Ministers from China, Morocco, Egypt, Ethiopia, Maldives, Mauritania, Nepal, and Seychelles among others will address the Forum.

The event is held in the China Pavilion. It is open to all COP 22 attendees.
