Research Fellow and doctoral supervisor of digital remote sensing, Institute of digital agriculture, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has been engaged in the research of global agricultural situation, land surface evapotranspiration and regional ecological remote sensing for a long time, and explored the application methodology of remote sensing. He is the chairman of Digital Agriculture Professional Committee of China National Committee of International Digital Earth Society, the director of China ecological society, the chairman of ecological remote sensing professional committee, and the co chairman of agricultural theme of GEO / GEOSS.

He has been involved in relevant work since the establishment of UNEP-IEMP.
