Securing a Green Economy through Ecosystem Management

Abstract

This paper has been prepared for the upcoming High-level Forum on Ecosystem Management and Green Economy1 (18 November 2011, Beijing, China) with the overall aim of contributing to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in June 2012 (Rio+20). With cutting-edge scientific findings and supporting evidence from policy makers and practitioners, the authors assessed a range of issues centred on how improved ecosystem management could support the greening of economies.
