Agricultural green production is not only related to national food security, agricultural and rural modernization, and rural livelihood improvement, but also an important link for the sustainable and balanced development of ecology and social-economic system. However, due to highly developed of labor division and cooperation, agricultural green production not only need to take the horizontal system of coupling factors into consideration, but also need to make overall planning from the vertical connection between different industries and various links of agricultural production. This paper reviews the significance and challenges of agricultural green production in China from the perspective of system science, and puts forward the countermeasures from the aspects of concept and practice.
