N fertilizer use significantly decreases with per unit increase in land scale, while rural part-time farming degree significantly increases N fertilizer use, especially for the households with part-time farming degree ranging from 50% to 80% and degree higher than 80%. These findings imply that the government should encourage part-time farming households to transfer agricultural croplands, thereby expanding land scale so as to reduce N fertilizer use.

There is intergenerational transmission of wage among rural labor, but the elasticities were much less than those in urban areas, which indicated better social mobility in rural areas than that of urban. The children with parents who could earn much were more likely to be invested before they participated in labor market, gain a high education and have more skills. It showed that human capital investment in children breaks intergenerational transmission of poverty and promoting social mobility.

The completion rate of the latest Land Certificated Program (LCP) of China is far below the expected target. Working experience of village leader, off-farm employment, and land acquisition have significant effects on the accomplishing of the latest Land Certificated Program. However, geographical features have no effect because of the adoption of GIS technology in measuring plots.
